Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse quizzed
The soul singer Amy Winehouse was recently questioned by the police over the allegation of the drugs possessed by her says a police source at London. The 24-year-old soul singer entered the clinic last month in order to treat her drug addiction that is well publicized. She was only quizzed and not arrested. The media reports that the allegation stems from the video stills that were published in the newspaper in the previous month that appeared to show her smoking cocaine.
A report in the Sun newspaper says that the officers questioned her for about two hours at the clinic in North London after the seizure of the recording. Winehouse went to the court for the hearing of her husband Blake who had been charged for something related to a pub brawl. However, the Metropolitan Police says that the woman was not charged but was only interviewed. The police inquires in the matter are continuing. It is said that the video was shot a couple of hours just before she went to the court.
Universal Music Group, Amy Winehouse’s company says that last month Winehouse had decided to seek some special treatment in order to help recover. Winehouse has been one of the top selling singers and has won commercial success.

James Blunt
James Blunt is a British Musician who shot to fame with his debut album, “Back to Bedlam”, especially the song “You’re Beautiful”. Blunt recorded the album with producer Tom Rothrock, using session musicians and performing many of the instruments himself. While James was in Los Angeles, he stayed with actress Carrie Fisher, whom he was acquainted through the family of a former girlfriend. Fisher was extremely supportive of Blunt’s aspirations and suggested the name of the album and also provided the use of a bathroom in her house for the shooting of the song “Goodbye My Lover”. The third single” You’re Beautiful” was the smash hit of the album. The song debuted at 12th position in the UK charts and demonstrated an upward mobility, seldom seen in UK charts to land at number one position in six weeks.
James is an inherently shy and reserved person and finds the degree of interest that other people have on his personal life quite bizarre. He was quoted as saying “fame and celebrity is something that other people have constructed that I’m not party to”. Blunt has raised funds for Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), an organization that treats patients in conflict stricken areas around the world. He also supports environmental causes and screens the trailer of “An Inconvenient Truth” in his concerts; he also performed at Live Earth convert at Wembley Stadium, London.

September is a serene time full of sunny days and cool nights where only the presence of Christmas decorations that make their way onto store shelves startle us with how fast the year has passed. It’s the inevitable calm before the so called ‘Christmas storm’ - where we’ll be standing over hot stoves cooking festive meals, fighting through masses of people in department stores and spending the day with certain family members that you love but are thankful when they head home at the end of the day. So we suggest you make the most of this calm while you can and start thinking about your Christmas activities during this year’s festive season. Who do you need to make gifts for? What can you make them? What about decorating the home? Well, we’re all for getting started now – so the panic doesn’t set in when we get to November, when we realise just how little time we have left to the big day! Which is why we you’ll find our latest issue of Handmade is the first of our Christmas specials – and why you’ll find yuletide-themed goodies throughout this newsletter! Officials Stand Out
Tuesday June 4th Hunt Arena- It was a slow start to Tuesday night broomball as the Johnson Jerks faced off against the winless boys of AGR. Midway through the first half though the action picked up in what proved to be the most exciting game of the night. 2 goals by David Tollefson put AGR up 2 to 0 at half. 2 goals has historically been the worst lead to have because of a teams tendency to sit back and try to protect their lead instead of sticking to their game plan and pouring it on. The start of the second half stayed true to history as the Johnson Jerks put one in making the score 2-1 AGR. However AGR responded to the threat and scored on a goal by Nathaniel Weisenfield making the score 3-1. With the lead at 2 again could AGR hold off the Jerks?
That answer came in quickly as the Johnson Jerks answered back not once but twice dead locking the score at 3-3 with 7 minutes to play. As the end of the game drew near the physical play and intensity grew at a feverish pace. With 3 minutes to play the Jerks saw their chance to seal the deal. A shot from the slot trickled behind the goaltender before he fell backwards on it. Immediately both teams erupted in chaos arguing their case for judgment. The steady eyes and diligence to the game by Pete Kolpack and Kelly Snedeker agreed that the ball was on the line but had never completely crossed. I had a chance to talk with Pete after the game and he had this to say about the call, "I saw the ball the whole way and it never crossed the line it was the right call."
This type of pressure is something these refs see on a nightly basis but their calmness under pressure and their conviction to their calls makes these games what they are. With 2 minutes remaining and things heating up two players got a little out of hand along the boards at the AGR blue line. The officials determined not to let the game get out of hand assessed coincidental minors to Derek Husmoen of AGR and Justin Strehlan of the Johnson Jerks. Unfortunately for these two they would have to watch the end of this nail biter from the sin bin. Many scoring chances for both teams resulted in no goals and this game would have to be decided in overtime. Unfortunately the goalies who kept their teams in the games would have to leave the net as no goalies are allowed in overtime. Now every draw and every shot would be pivotal. AGR lost the opening draw but soon gained control and got a shot off that came up just short of the goal and the Johnson Jerks cleared it. Another attack by AGR yielded the same result, no goal and a clear by the Jerks. The third attack proved to be a charm as a shot from David Tollefson graced the back of the net for his third and final tally of the night. AGR got their first win and the Jerks got what was coming to them, a loss.

where does the best barbecue come from?
It’s time to invite the gang over for some long overdue fun in the sun and the best barbecue you can get your hands on. But... where does the best barbecue come from?
In my opinion, the very best BBQ comes from American-style Kobe beef, raised on the award-winning Snake River Farm in Idaho. Yup......I’ve asked the good folks there to raise me some steers destined for barbecue......Texas BBQ brisket, to be precise! Then......I asked the best little smokehouse in Texas, Willy Ray’s, to turn this luxurious beef into the most mind-blowing BBQ ever.
And now, when you say you’re having a BBQ......through the magic of mail-order......you can throw an authentic Texas-style bash right in your own backyard.
This has never been easy......until now. When Yankees like me say, "We’re having a BBQ," what we usually mean is that we’re throwing hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. That’s not what they mean in the South!--where BBQ experts meticulously cook hunks of meat by indirect exposure to low-temperature hardwood smoke. Don’t try this at home, as they say......but do get the Snake River/Willy Ray’s wonder on your table now, in time for Memorial Day.

Michael Bublé
In the opening track of this live CD, Michael Bublé explodes "I'm
feeeling GOOD!" Who could blame him? He's backed by a big--make that a
really big--band, and the song sounds like a million bucks. You may
quibble that Bublé is a nice fellow who's a bit lacking in both the
charisma and swing departments, but the music here percolates with
bouncing energing--just listen to "Summer Wind" or "The More I See
You" to see how glorious arrangements (by Johnny Mandel and John
Clayton Jr., respectively) can propulse a reasonably gifted but by no
means transcendent singer into the stratosphere. Best of all, Bublé
once again shows his ability to seamlessly bridge eras and styles by
offering stylistically consistent covers of the Beatles' "Can't Buy Me
Love" (done swing-style) and Lou Rawls' 1976 hit "You'll Never Find
Another Love Like Mine" (done crooner-style in a duet with Italian
singer Laura Pausini). (The DVD offers up a similar take on Queen's
"Crazy Little Thing Called Love," for instance.) The DVD portion of
this combo set doubles the ante by offering 18 tracks (plus a bonus
"Song for You" with Chris Botti) to the CD's 8. There's also a
20-minute backstage featurette showing what goes into the preparation
for the show.

American Idol
American Idol contestant Antonella Barba is now the talk of the town ever since her controversial pictures surfaced on several websites. The initial photos that surfaced were mildly scandalous, showing Barba, 20, and her friends topless at the beach and Barba consuming alcohol while being underage. Even more recently, photos from an anonymous source on various gossip blogs contained much illicit exposure of Barba engaging in a number of sexual acts and titillating poses, exposing much of her private parts. Ultimately, this prompted much speculation and rumors over her fate in the popular show American Idol.Antonella Barba, a top 24 finalist on season 6 of American Idol, is from Point Pleasant, New Jersey, is currently studying architecture at the Catholic University in Washington, D.C. Aspiring to be a star, she went to New York to audition made it through to Hollywood and became a top 24 finalist. At this point, Barba, as well as her family, have not released any comments regarding the circulating photos. While a number of the photos come into view as Barba, other photos are just allegations and presumptions against the aspiring singer. American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe said, We have really good background checks on everybody, and we deal with that every season...It's sad, isn't it, that your best friends are the ones that come forward with information that will go to Smoking Gun or put your photographs on the Web?" With this said, there is much implication that the root of this scandal was generated by someone close to Barba. Moreover, a spokesperson from Fox said that the network will not be releasing any official comments regarding this issue, whether this will affect Barbas fate on the show or not. And despite the angst brought about this issue, the subject matter have surprisingly translated into positive exposure both for Barba and most especially for American Idol with more than 30 million viewers a week.

Michael Devlin $1 Mil Bond: John Lefebvre $5 Mil Bond
Michael Devlin is being charged with counts of kidnapping young boys. John Lefebvre is being charged with running a third party money transfer service similar to that of PayPal that helped facilitate online gambling transactions to and from US citizens.
Michael Devlin is being held on a $1 million bond, Lefebrvre is being held on a $5 million bond.
"A 5 million dollar bond for someone who never killed anybody. Amazing!" posted one angry online gambler on the MajorWager posting forums.
Lefebrvre's "crime" it seems related to his company's willingness to transfer monies for the purpose of playing poker over the internet and betting on the Super Bowl via the company he founded, NETeller. News flash: Very few people do not bet on the Super Bowl and poker programs (most of which have been sponsored by internet poker rooms) are among the highest rated shows on television.
Had Lefebrvre's company focused exclusively on monies transferred exclusively for the purpose of betting horses over the Internet, he might not be facing a $5 mil bond today. The US government ensured the passage of a law to make online horse racing legal by attaching the measure to a "Port Security" act.
John Lefebvre's alleged crime is one of money laundering, though he has not maintained an active role in the company since the start of the US Justice Department's investigation.
Michael Devlin is now being charged with brandishing a handgun during his kidnapping then 11-year old Shawn Hornbeck. He held the boy just over 4 years.
A similar case against payment processor, PayPal, resulted in the forfeiture of millions of dollars and a promise not to conduct business with online gambling entities. That matter was brought up by then New York Attorney General, Elliott Spitzer, a staunch opponent of internet wagering. The now Governor of New York did not see fit to have PayPal's executives locked behind bars held on a $5 million bond.
The company Lefebrvre founded trades publicly on the London Stock Exchange. Nearly every other country - with the exception of the US - view NETeller as a legal enterprise, certainly the United Kingdom does. Earnings reports show NETeller has taken in billions of dollars over the past few years. Perhaps the US government believed that $1 million is a drop in the bucket for Lefebrvre compared to say, Michael Devlin. Neither men have been able to make their bond as of Thursday morning. Assuming both do make their bond, we pose the question: Which of the two men would you want as your neighbor while they await trial?
If you were to ask that question of the prosecutors assigned to the Lefebrvre case, the sad truth is that they would probably respond "Michael Devlin". We at Gambling911.com would bet the farm that less than 5% of Americans would want Devlin living next store to them when the other option is Lefebrvre (but of course this is not a bet on horses, so this is just a hypothetical).
And why wouldn't you want Lefebrvre as part of your community while he awaits trial?
Other than playing his guitar and singing folk songs into the wee hours of the morning, you don't have to worry about Lefebrvre snatching up your 11-year old from the bus stop. "Friends said his (John Lefebrvre's) passions were giving away money from his huge fortune to worthy causes like the work of the Dalai Lama," someone close to the man told Doug Ward of the Vancouver Sun.
Ward writes:
Just over a decade ago, Lefebvre quit his Calgary law practice to busk in that city's transit stations, living off the change that landed in his guitar case, Ward writes in his Sun piece."A few years later, it was Lefebvre who was handing out money: Millions of dollars for projects promoting environmental protection, social justice, the arts and a variety of causes.'There's a lot of irony in that. A lot of irony and I don't think it was lost on him," said Hoggan, president of Hoggan and Associates, referring to his friend's amazing shift from busker to philanthropist.'He's generous in a very impressive way. He has a generosity for people who are marginalized and for issues that are marginalized.'"Lefebvre donated $170,000 to the centre-left Vision Vancouver's campaign in the 2005 municipal election."
Lebebvre may have founded a multi-billion dollar cash processing service similar to that of PayPal but gamblers also have something to fear if they reside in the state of Washington.
Last year, that state was the first to make betting over the internet a Class C felony.
That's right folks! If you live in Washington State and happened to be caught last weekend betting the Seattle Seahawks over the Web, you'd potentially be facing the same sentence as....well, Michael Devlin. Betting online in Washington State carries with it the same penalties as those imposed upon first time offender child molesters.

NEWS: Real Time Gaming (RTG) is to leave the US market, as reported in eGaming Pulse. RTG’s office in Atlanta, Georgia, is to close in the ‘near future.’ RTG has been providing casino software since 1998.
The independent charity, Responsibility in Gambling Trust (RIGT), has issued a response to the British Medical Association’s (BMA) recommendations regarding treatment of gambling addiction. John Greenway, chairman of the RIGT, said: “The BMA report is a significant endorsement of RIGT’s own assessment of the need to fund not just helplines, public awareness programmes and the expansion of counselling and treatment services, but also research into the effectiveness of these measures and the education of young people about gambling issues.”
NEWSPAPERS AND WIRES: The Guardian and Reuters carry news of the former Neteller directors’ arrests. The Guardian says the US authorities ‘swooped’ on Lawrence and Lefebvre. Reuters says Neteller shares “closed at 176p on Monday, valuing it at around £211m.”
CITY: Neteller has suspended trading in its shares as a result of Lawrence and Lefebvre’s arrests. Sportingbet is down 1.25p to 39.5p, CryptoLogic is down 10p to 1245p and Ladbrokes is up 0.25p to 441.25p.

Champagne Is Choice
At just 100 calories, a glass of champagne will do much less damage than a hot toddy, which weighs in at 200 calories -- and that's before the whipped cream. Just keep in mind that after one or two glasses of champagne, you may be more likely to say yes to that pecan pie.

Kleen Free Really works!!!
You MUST clean you whole house and even the walls. You must go back every few weeks to spray the areas where insects have hatched because no matter what you use you do not kill the eggs. If you're still getting bitten you have probably missed an area where they are hiding, which is very easy to do. If you skip over even one crack they will continue to multiply and you will continue doing "the monkey" indefinitely.
Bedbugs are little vampires. If you see them that means they've sucked enough blood to multiply in size. If you want relief you cannot only kill the ones you see. You need to realize that there are more you cannot see than those you can see. You need to focus on killing the ones you cannot see. That means spraying areas where you do not see any bugs. Very important: take your mattress off and spray every crack in your bed. This website on bedbugs tells you how to clean and kill bed bugs. Follow their instruction with kleen free and you will rid your house of bedbugs without any pesticides and chemicals - Guaranteed! Once you're finished with the bedbugs you can use the rest of the clean free to clean almost everything in your house. Try to do that with a pesticide!

I love the zune
Dont listen to any of these people who are talking about the zune and havnt even used one. I bought one the day it came out and i think it is awesome. All of you people need to learn a lession. Im not against the ipod and im not for microsoft...im for a good product that will expand the market and make it better. The zune is a brand new product and yall are comparing it too the 3rd and 4th generation ipod. I love the zune. It looks nice, it is easy to use...and of course it is bigger...the screen is huge. So what if the quality is the same as the ipod. When you are looking at tv's you tend to look at the bigger one. Yeah from a 10 inch tv to a 40 inch tv the quality will go down...but half an inch...that isnt going to make it look worse...its just a bigger screen which is awesome. And about the whole no videos or anything on the marketplace...it just came out...give it time. We need something to create good competition so that prices will go down and quality will go up. The zune is a great product...it may not have everything that the ipod has yet...but it has only been out for a couple of days..give it time. I would recommend the zune to everyone. It has its ups and downs...but so does the ipod. I think they are equal in there own ways. Just find the one that will work better in your life...just dont listen to reviewers who havnt even touched it yet...
